Health Education
The Health Education Division at Jackson County Health Department focuses on prevention, education, and community partnerships that support long-term health and safety.
Our team collaborates with schools, coalitions, and local organizations to provide programs that address priority health concerns in our county.
Key areas include tobacco prevention, substance abuse education, car seat safety, a variety of health and safety trainings, and leadership in community health planning through the Illinois Project for Local Assessment of Needs (IPLAN). Much of this work is made possible through partnerships and funding from local, state, and nonprofit sources.
